VIT in Albania

From may 7th to 11th Voices in Time accepted a recommendation of the German embassy Tirana to visit the 3rd European Chamber Choral Festival of Albania. Within this festival we sang three concerts at the National Theatre of Opera & Ballet Tirana in Korça and Shkodra. It was a very special experience for us not least because of the emphatic international assortment of choirs and ensembles from Albania, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Croatia, and Holland. This allowed not only for a multitude of musical impressions, but especially aided the cultural exchange on a musical as well as personal level. Our special thanks to the German Embassy Tirana, to the secretary of education and director of the festival Mrs Suzana Turku Kashara as well as to the whole team of Besim Petrela for the excellent organisation and cordial support. We gained many new friends and impressions and we are looking forward to seeing you all again soon. Thank you so much for the unforgettable hospitality and enthusiasm – not only during the celebrating! :)
